Powers
Powers form the heart of Izlandi, as this is a magical equine roleplay. When creating a character, you can select one of the following powers we have created, or create your own. Be warned, if you create your own power, it must be accepted, and it has a chance of not being accepted.
Strength of Mind - With this power, horses have the ability to do many things involving the mind, both their own and others'. They can speak in the minds of others, as well as create illusions. In addition, they can manipulate objects and other creatures (other than fellow horses) into doing their bidding. But they must be careful and build their mental strength carefully. If they stress their mental strength and do something that they are not yet ready for, the results can be disastrous. It has been known that some have been manipulated by their own magic and have gone insane.
Fire Manipulator - Fire manipulators are fire elementals, who can manipulate fire. This means that they can create and control fire with their mind, or just a simple word. They can also put out fires. Because they are fire spirits, their body temperature is generally higher than the average equine and are not affected by fire. Fire manipulators must be careful and train themselves, for inexperienced fire manipulators could accidentally burn down whole entire kingdoms.
Water Manipulator - Water manipulators are water elementals, as fire manipulators are fire elementals. Similarly, water manipulators can create and control water in numerous ways. Some can be for the better (water in the desert), some can be for the worse (a flood). Water manipulators must take caution when dealing with water, for it is a very powerful element, capable of wiping out all of Izlandi. They must not try things that they do not think they are ready for, as the results could be disastrous. Water manipulators are generally water spirits, and can swim exceptionally well, as well as breathing in water amongst other abilities.
Energy Manipulator - Energy manipulators manipulate a certain kind of energy, electricity, or lightning, as it is known to the equines. This includes, but is not limited to causing lightning to strike the ground, strike objects, or even strike other horses. Being struck by lightning will not affect these horses, but it may drain them of their energy a good bit. A few masters of lightning have been able to cause lightning to strike them purposely in storms, and they have learned to somehow transfer the loss of energy into gaining energy from the electricity. This has been attempted by many, but most have been killed while trying. Energy manipulators must take caution, for lightning is not something that one should be careless with.
Manipulator of Nature - Manipulators of nature have the ability to manipulate all things natural to the earth. This includes growing things, forming mountains, valleys, gorges, as well as causing volcanoes to erupt or earthquakes to occur. This does not include fire, water, or energy. Although nature appears to be an inferior element compared to fire, water, and energy, that is not so. Natural elements are extremely powerful and drain much energy from the manipulator. Manipulators must be very aware of the limits of their abilities, for attempting something beyond their abilities is suicidal, and can result is disaster.
Atmosphere Manipulator - Atmosphere manipulators have the ability to manipulate what goes on in the atmosphere. Simply speaking, they can control weather. This ranges from creating sunny skies, to a powerful hurricane or tornado. Controlling the weather takes a lot of energy and this element is extremely powerful. Take note that this manipulation of weather will only affect a certain area, not the whole of Izlandi.
Morphers - To be able to morph is to be able to change one's appearance. Morphers are able to change their coloring and height to whatever they please. This includes, but is not limited to, matching their surroundings, or becoming completely invisible. A few morphers have been able to morph wings or horns, but few have tried and the effort could kill them. The more complicated the morph, the more energy it will drain from the morpher.
Animal Spirits - A few of these magical equines are able to change into up to two different animals (more can be acquired by purchasing through the OOC Board). The creatures will always be the same age as the original equine, meaning that a foal will not change into an adult eagle, but be a hatchling. These equines are known as 'Animal Spirits', for the spirits of the animals they can change into are within them. These spirits may attempt to take over the original equine's mind and body if the equine isn't strong enough.
Sharpened Senses - This ability allows an equines' senses to be sharpened. They are able to choose when they wish for this to happen. This means that their sense of smell, hearing, and sight is greatly increased. In addition, this equine will have their speed increased.
